Comprehensive Parasitology Profile
Intestinal parasites are parasites that populate the gastro-intestinal
tract. In humans, they are often spread by poor hygiene related
to faeces, contact with animals, or poorly cooked food containing
parasites. Parasites can get into the intestine through the
mouth from uncooked or unwashed food, contaminated water,
or hands, or by skin contact with larva infected soil. Parasites
can infect the digestive tract, and sometimes two or more
can cause infection at the same time. Evidence shows that
one out of every four people have some parasitic infection
and if the gut becomes damaged or 'leaky' the parasites
can enter the bloodstream.

The body views these as 'foreign' or as a pathogen.
Swirling clumps of an immune chemical known as immunoglobulin
IgG, together with white blood cells and the parasite pass through the bloodstream settling into joints and all parts
of the body, which inflames. This leads to a wide array of symptoms, which may cause a variety of symptoms
including tiredness, fatigue, loss of appetite, irritability, insomnia, vague aches and pains (not
confined to bowel),
swings in bowel habit, flatulence, inappropriate
hunger, skin rashes, itching anus, itching ears.
This profile also includes testing for yeast pathogens, such as
Candida. This is because the signs and symptoms
of parasitic infection or candida infection can be very similar. The laboratory
will culture your sample and test the
resistance of the pathogen against commonly used antibiotics and natural remedies, so
